Well, after being gone for two weeks speaking at RV shows, the last couple of days we've been getting our home back in order, catching up on entering all our expenses for the month, finalizing our 2013 budget, and we've been working on our upcoming rallies as well.
We made a grocery run to Parker about 35 miles away to re-stock our pantry and refrigerator. Linda did laundry. I've been sorting out receipts and separating the business-related from the personal.
During all this getting re-organized, poor Linda is suffering through what appears to be another hormone-related problem - swollen, painful, blistery lips. She can't seem to catch a break. Although, we had tentative plans to leave the area and go explore somewhere before returning for our Boondocking Rally, I think we'll just sit here with the permission of our gracious hosts, Patty & Peter.
Updates
Financials
I finally got our 2013 Budget posted: Our 2013 RVing Expenses Budget.
Boondocking Rally
Linda has been sending out informational emails to the 2013 Boondocking Rally attendees, so if you have signed up and are not getting the emails let us know. Be sure your spam filters aren't blocking emails from "@rv-dreams.com". :)
We are working on getting some things ordered, so it's important that we know you are coming. If you are planning to be there and haven't signed up yet, please register and pay online. The registration form provides us with information about attendee RV set-ups, so we can better provide personal tips. Also, it will ensure you are getting email updates and it will allow us to make sure we order enough food and supplies for special events.
We're less than two weeks away and we have almost forty rigs signed up, so we should have a great time in the desert! :)
Spring Rally
Registrations have been slow for the 2013 RV-Dreams Spring Rally to be held in New Mexico March 19 - 24, but they have picked up in the last couple of weeks. We're now in the last month to register, so don't wait too much longer! :)
We clearly aren't going to need 60 sites, so I'll be releasing some back to the RV park for non-rally guest reservations. I just don't want to release too many. Also, six of the ten hotel rooms we have set aside have been booked - just want those coming without RVs to be aware of that.
RVSEF Conference
The RV Safety & Education Foundation is holding its Lifestyle, Education, & Safety Conference in Colorado Springs, CO from May 14 - 18. We call it "RVer college/boot camp" with over 60 seminars from noted RV educational instructors. It can be a little intense with all the knowledge one gains in a short amount of time. :) We will be doing lifestyle seminars, while all of the technical aspects of RVing will be covered by several others.
Actually, an RV-Dreams Rally coupled with the RVSEF Conference is a great combination for those just getting into or learning about RVing. We've had some folks do that, and they were very happy they did.
In fact, we'll offer first-time RV-Dreams Rally attendees a discount on our 2013 Spring Rally IF they sign up for the RVSEF Conference. We'll offer $80 off our registration fee for a couple or family, or $40 off for a solo. Just Contact Us and we'll work it out.
RV Weighing
As I mentioned in a prior post, we have our tentative RV Weighing Schedule posted. We have a new weighing team, Trey & Susan, that is in the process of being trained, and we will be assisting them with their 2013 schedule.
They have a Heavy Duty Truck (HDT) towing a Travel Supreme fifth wheel. In fact, Trey put together a Heavy Haulers Campground Map with links to campground websites. Talk about "big rig friendly". :)
We have their tentative weighing schedule on our RV Weighing page. We'll add more to that page as we solidify some rallies we're working on.
In addition, we are actively seeking a third weighing team. We would prefer that the third team be full-timers with a motorhome. For details on what we are looking for, click on this link: RVSEF Seeking Another Team To Do RV Weighing & Seminars.
Workamper News
As you know, we are a Workamper News Concierge. We just got word yesterday that the Workamper Plus subscription is going up from $48 to $54 per year. As of now, the Basic subscription and the Workamper Green subscription (the one we recommend), are not changing.
The only difference between the Workamper Plus and the Workamper Green is you get a hardcopy magazine mailed to you with the Plus. Since you can view the magazine online and see it faster there, we don't see any reason for the extra cost of getting the printed copy. Go Green and save some money. :)
Fall Rally
We really don't have much to tell about a Fall Rally. As of now, we don't have anything scheduled. We've run into a couple of dead ends on facilities, but we are looking at options in the Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina area for October.
We'll let you know as soon as we figure something out.
Well, that's about it for now. Gonna go grill some brats for dinner and then have a relaxing evening. :)

If you can't do the Fall rally in NJ or Hershey again, can you do it as close to Raleigh NC as possible? Actually, our daughter is getting married in Raleigh in October, so it'd be absolutely fantastic if we could combine the trip down there for both events! (who knows, maybe we'll even have our home on wheels by then! Wouldn't that be even better?)
As always, thanks for everything. You guys are the best!
